Nokia 6 and Nokia 8, two of the premium Nokia-branded smartphones from HMD Global, are now available at a discount on Amazon India. The e-commerce giant is hosting ‘Nokia Week’ between November 13 to November 17 where it is offering a discounted price on Nokia smartphones.
The Nokia 6 is now available at a discounted price of Rs 12,499, while Nokia 8 is available at a discounted price of Rs 35,499. On the Nokia 6, Amazon India is offering a discount of Rs 2,500 to Prime members buying the device with Amazon Pay balance. For use of any payment method other than Amazon Pay, it offers a discount of Rs 500 to its Prime members. For those not subscribed to Amazon Prime, the e-commerce company is offering a discount of Rs 1,500 on using Amazon Pay balance. The price remains the same at Rs 14,999 for those non-prime members buying the device using other payment methods.
To recall, the Nokia 6 was launched alongside the Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 in India, back in June. The smartphone is priced at Rs 14,999 and is available exclusively on Amazon India. It features a 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 430 chipset. The handset offers 3GB RAM, 32GB storage and supports expandable storage via SD card slot. It sports a 16MP primary camera with phase detect autofocus and an 8MP autofocus front camera. The Nokia 6 runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat with a planned upgrade to Android 8.0 Oreo. It features unibody aluminium metal chassis, dual stereo speakers, a front-mounted fingerprint sensor and packs a 3000mAh battery. The handset will be available in the matte black colour variant on Amazon India.
On purchase of Nokia 8, Amazon India is offering an additional cashback of Rs 1,500 to Prime members purchasing the device using Amazon Pay balance. It is not offering any discount to prime members purchasing using other payment methods or non-Prime members. As part of the sale, Amazon India is also offering an additional discount of Rs 1,000 on exchange.
Nokia 8 is the flagship smartphone from the Finnish startup that brings flagship specifications and dual rear camera setup. It features a 5.3-inch Quad HD IPS LCD display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The smartphone also brings back Zeiss optics to the forefront. It features dual 13MP rear cameras with one colour sensor and another monochrome sensor. The primary 12MP colour sensor has f/2.0 aperture and supports optical image stabilisation. The front camera uses a 13MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 78.4-degree field of view. Nokia 8 users can use both the front and rear cameras simultaneously with the Dual-Sight mode.
Nokia 8 also runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat but the company has already started Android 8.0 Oreo beta testing for the device. The smartphone features a front fingerprint sensor and supports WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS with A-GPS and uses USB Type-C port. Priced at Rs 36,999, Nokia 8 is backed by a 3000mAh battery and is available in polished blue, tempered blue and steel colour variants.
